Your route: Rice field + Albufera Lake + Wildlife reserve

This route begins at the last section of the Saler Canal, crossing the spectacular landscape of rice fields in the "Tancat del Pomero." The exit to the lake and its sheer size are impressive! We will sail alongside the Gola del Pujol, which connects the lake's water with that of the Mediterranean Sea. We will learn about the importance of its floodgates in rice cultivation. During the tour, we will enjoy panoramic views of Lake Albufera, so wide that you can even see towns such as Cullera, Sollana, Silla, Catarroja, and even Valencia in the distance. We will circle the "Mata del Fang," the largest island in the lake, declared a Comprehensive Wildlife and Flora Reserve due to its exceptional ecological value. Reeds, cattails, mansiegas, and other plants will brush against our boat as we spot a large number of birds such as herons, ducks, purple swamphen, cormorants, seagulls... resting in this protected habitat.
