Where are our piers? Locations

We work at two strategic locations to optimize time and offer different landscapes. We will indicate the exact location and parking if you arrive by car.

Pomero Albufera Pier

This route begins at the last section of the Saler Canal, crossing the spectacular landscape of rice fields in Tancat del Pomero. The exit to the lake is impressive, as are its dimensions!

We will sail alongside the Gola del Pujol, which connects the lake's waters with those of the Mediterranean Sea. We will learn about the importance of its floodgates in rice cultivation.

During the tour, we will enjoy panoramic views of Lake Albufera, so expansive that you can even see towns such as Cullera, Sollana, Silla, Catarroja, and even the city of Valencia in the distance.

The journey will take us around Mata del Fang, the largest island in the lake, which has been declared a Wildlife Reserve due to its exceptional ecological value.

As we venture into the reeds and cattails, brushing against the vegetation with our boat, we can observe numerous species of birds (herons, ducks, purple swamphen, cormorants, seagulls...) that live and rest in this natural sanctuary.

In the past, it was the only access route between Valencia and Lake Albufera. Its pier was used to transport salt extracted from the old salt flats located next to the lake, before it evolved into a freshwater lake.

During the tour, we will learn about its history and how the Bar Engine works, which supplies irrigation to the rice fields in the area.

We will sail along the Saler Canal, where we will see traditional orchards and enjoy views of the rice fields, discovering the stages of their cultivation.

Along the way, we will spot birds such as egrets, purple swamphen, and night herons, as well as vegetation such as irises and cattails, while learning about traditional fishing methods.

After a few minutes, we will reach the lluent, the open area of the lake, and approach the Gola del Pujol, whose floodgates connect to the Mediterranean Sea.

From the lake, you can enjoy unique views of Sollana, Silla, Catarroja, and even Valencia.
